Robert Whyte

Robert K Whyte is an entrepreneurial iBanker and mediator. A graduate from Cornell University and a member of the National Association of Certified Mediators he takes his oversite of all cases very seriously. Cases are global in nature from boardrooms in South America to meeting with same sex couples in Hong Kong to solving disputes in Los Angeles in both domestic and corporate problems through positive negotiations.

He is the inventor of DoggieWater and KittyWater, a new set of consumer products for the $91 billion pet sector. His investment bank: Whyte & Co. is a global investment banking firm doing capital raising and SEC compliance for its clients. A division of the firm is OZDirect.Biz, helping businesses understand, be compliant plus find funding within Opportunity Zones. He is a frequent speaker at conferences globally and in the USA. His book, “Secret Government Approved Funding” is a best seller as it describes the finding of funds for American businesses looking for capital.

In 2002, Robert founded the investment banking offices in Los Angeles of Morgan Joseph & Co. as Managing Partner and compliance officer, specialized in SPAC’s, PIPE’s, high yield debt, institutional private equity and IPO’s.

Before moving to Los Angeles, Robert was a partner in the Media and Broadcast Group of RBC Daniels and Associates based in New York City. Historically, Mr. Whyte was one of the founding partners of Home Shopping Network and in 1986, led the company as its CEO through its Initial Public Offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the US Company on the American Stock Exchange.

In 1980, Robert became the youngest person to be awarded a CRTC radio station license for CKIK-FM in Calgary Alberta. He managed the station to a profitable number one position in 15 months form sign on. Born in Montreal he speaks English and French. He attended undergrad in Montreal. Now an American citizen, having lived in the USA for some 30 years. A product of a single mother, he knows about hard work to become successful and find solutions to problems.

Robert holds FINRA/SEC licenses Series 7, 79, 63 and General Principals Series 24. A diploma in Dispute Resolution from Cornell University and a certificate from the NACM. He is a multi-engine IFR pilot and enjoys travel, camping, fly fishing and solving problems, but mostly working with positive people. His favorite saying is “if it’s not fun, don’t do it!”
